Rural Development Program (RDP) of Greece 2014-2020 – CLLD/LEADER

The Rural Development Program (RDP) of Greece 2014-2020 is one of the most  important growth promoting tools of the country.

It is based on a vision for integrated development and sustainable competitiveness of rural areas, moreover RPD aims to the enhancement at the competitive potential of the agri-food sector, the promotion of the multifunctional role of rural areas and protect the environment.

The rural strategy development during the programming period 2014-2020 ensures the continuity of the operations implemented during the previous programming period while constituting a starting point for new innovative operations in rural areas and the rural economy.

Local Program Ilias Prefecture –CLLD/LEADER EAFRD

Local Program CLL/ LEADER has been approved with 3206/2016 decision of Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

The main objective of the Local Program is to exploit the comparative advantages of the local economy and society, in order to enhance competitiveness, extroversion, growth and employment in terms of environmental sustainability and social justice.

Actions can be financed: 

1. a) Public interest projects that contribute directly or indirectly to the service and improvement of local population life’s quality, as well as  the development of local economy 
2. b) Private projects: crafts and small industries, tourism projects, service, trade, cooperation projects /clusters

The intervention area is the Ilia Prefecture apart from the cities of Amaliada and Pirgos.

Total budget of the Local Program: 6.850.000,00 €

Operational Program for Fisheries and Sea (OPFS) 2014-2020 (LEADER EMFF)

The Operational Program “for Fisheries and Sea (OPFS) 2014-2020” is one of the most important growth promoting tools of the country.

The fisheries sector is considered to be important for the European and national economy, mainly because it is essentially involved in a variety of processes such as, securing of high biological value animal proteins, exploiting local resources, securing jobs in coastal areas, contributing to maintaining the social and economic cohesion of large coastal and island regions

The main program targets are:

1. a) The support of the competiveness of fisheries and aquaculture enterprises and 
2. b) The protection of the environment and the sustainable exploitation of resources.

The development vision for fisheries in the 2014-2020 programming period is: “Sustainable development of the fisheries sector in the direction of enhancement, competitiveness, environmental protection and as well as maintenance social and economic cohesion”. 

Local Program for Fisheries and Sea 2014-2020

The Local Program for Fisheries and Sea 2014-2020 has been approved with 3206/2016 decision of Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

The main objective of the Local Program is the coastal development through the diversification of products / services and the fishery income of the region.

Actions can be financed:

1. a) Public interest projects that contribute to the development of fisheries infrastructure   (ports, fishing shelters, etc.) and directly or indirectly to serve and improve the quality of life of the local population and to develop the local economy in fishing areas
2. b) Private projects from fishermen or not:  crafts and small industries, tourism projects, fishing tourism, services, trade, etc

The intervention area is mostly the coastal areas of  Ilia Prefecture

Total budget of the Local Program: 2.100.000,00€

In the field of Tourism 37 projects have been financed and implemented, with a total budget of 9 million Euros.

In the field of Public interest projects, that contribute directly or indirectly to the development of local economy and to the life’s quality, the company has financed 64 projects, with a total budget of 4,5 million Euros.

In the last programming period, 35 projects of public interest have been approved, with a total budget of 3.071.574,48 Euros.

The company, in the field of Technical Support of Municipalities, has elaborated economic and technical studies, restoration studies of settlements, renovation-reuse of buildings, etc. with a total budget of 800.000,00 Euros.

In the field of Transnational and Regional Cooperations, the company participated in six (6) Transnational and six (6) Regional Cooperation Projects, with a total budget of 400.000,00 Euros.

The Program is designed by bottom-up approach is financed from the European Union and aims at the integrated development of the area through cooperation with private and public local partners. The total budget was 9.678.608,69€

The program refers the same area and the total budget for this European project was 8.844.317,21€

The total budget which administrated from AN.OL. SA was 4.079.237,00€
